DANOBAT strengthens its international presence with the opening of an industrial plant in Italy
  • The manufacturer of machine tools and production systems has opened a 2,500 m2 plant in the town of Bistagno (Piemonte).
  • The opening ceremony has been presided over by Basque Government Minister for Economic Development and Infrastructure, Arantxa Tapia, and the President of Piedmont Region, Sergio Chiamparino.
  • The company is seeking to strengthen its positioning in Italy, the second market in machine tools in Europe after Germany.

With an aim to strengthening its push for international expansion and fortifying relations with its clients, DANOBAT, the machine tool manufacturer, has opened a 2,500 m2 industrial plant in the north of Italy on. This is the company’s first facility for producing advanced solutions in the transalpine country.

The opening ceremony of DANOBAT’s new plant, located in the town of Bistagno, in Piemonte, approximately 140 kilometres from Milan, has held this morning with the presence of the Minister of Economic Development and Infrastructure of the Basque Government, Arantxa Tapia, and the President of the Italian Region of Piedmont, Sergio Chiamparino, among other authorities.

 

Also present at the event were DANOBAT’S general manager, Xabier Alzaga, managing director of the DANOBAT GROUP, Pello Rodríguez, and the president of Mondragon Corporation, Iñigo Ucín.

“This new facility is dedicated to exploring new business opportunities, as well as providing to our current and future clients a high value added after-sales and technical service, with an emphasis on closeness, proximity and excellence”, Xabier Alzaga claimed.

The facility is dedicated to exploring new business opportunities, as well as providing the company’s current and future clients and proximity, as well as the availability of an essential stock of replacement parts.

The team of experts who will be working in the new facility is made up of highly qualified personnel, including a group of 10 engineers who are specialists in carrying out tests and service provision.

The plant will be used for carrying out customised machining tests as well as demonstrations with state-of-the-art equipment incorporating the most advanced technological developments.

The specialists in this new plant will assist clients throughout the solution’s entire life cycle, including the period covering preliminary studies, commissioning, start-up of the machinery and the performance of all its operations.

They will likewise deliver training services and instruction in grinding technologies, as well as provide services aimed at offering customised machining solutions, optimizing manufacturing processes for components already in production, redesigning machinery and, even adapting equipment for the manufacture of new pieces with the aim of making the most of their performance and lengthen their life cycle.

Digitalisation for future manufacturing plants
The plant will also be used to place the company’s digital value proposition at the disposal of DANOBAT´s Italian clients, based on the incorporation of the most advanced concepts of Industry 4.0.

“The DANOBAT’s digital services are aimed at improving maintenance strategies, raising equipment competitiveness and optimising production in the manufacturing plants”, Alzaga said.

This line of DANOBAT’s activity offers consolidated services, which are aimed at helping build smart, interconnected, automated manufacturing environments with the capacity for autonomous decision-making.

This plant means that the Basque company will have a facility similar to the excellence centre it currently has in Elgoibar, where it carries out machining tests so that the client can choose the solution which best suits their needs and make an investment with every guarantee.
