Danobatgroup launches a collaboration project with startups to develop artificial intelligence solutions
-
The industrial group is looking for startups capable of developing artificial intelligence solutions for modelling, analysing and processing data extracted from machines and production systems.
-
The initiative is part of the entrepreneurship programme Make In launched by Debegesa, in collaboration with ieTeam and EIT Manufacturing.
The Danobatgroup industrial group is immersed in an intense process of digital transformation which, in addition to developing new technologies to increase the productivity of machines and production systems, seeks to generate new business opportunities and move towards the construction of smart factories.
In this context, the machine tool manufacturer has launched an open call for innovation, for which the registration period starts today. The call is intended for national and international startups for the development of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions aimed at modelling, analysing and processing data extracted from machines and production systems.
"AI applied to manufacturing is an essential part of our innovation strategy. The customers of the different businesses of our group, such as Danobat, Soraluce or Goimek, expect from us customised, integral and connected solutions that enrich and simplify their daily tasks. Through this collaborative project that we are starting today, we seek to create alliances with startups, as they are players in the field with an entrepreneurial spirit and the capacity to face new technological challenges", says Danobatgroup´s Director of Innovation, Nerea Aranguren.
Danobatgroup currently has a large amount of data from its fleet of machines in operation. In our strategy for digital development, we are seeking synergies to implement AI solutions in order to provide greater value to our customers, create pioneering and innovative digital services, generate new lines of business and develop digital solutions that enable us to operate on new markets and optimise efficiency, both for the customers and ourselves.
To achieve this, Danobatgroup has launched this call for proposals to collaborate with startups with disruptive and innovative AI solutions that are already on the market.
The group is looking for early-stage startups with a validated product and traction in the market or industry. In addition, these companies must already be established and have a minimum of equipment.
Within the framework of this programme, Danobatgroup offers participating startups the possibility to conceptualise, develop and implement the solutions through a pilot project, using the organisation´s resources and infrastructure.
The industrial group is also offering financial compensation to cover the costs of the pilot test and access to the knowledge and experience of the group´s team of professionals and its technological partner, the research centre specialised in Advanced Manufacturing IDEKO.
This initiative will also provide participating companies the access to Danobatgroup´s international network of customers and suppliers and long-term partnership to become part of the organisation´s Open Innovation ecosystem.
Danobatgroup´s initiative is part of the entrepreneurship programme Make In launched by Debegesa (Agency for the Economic Development of Lower Deba) and the BPTD Business Association, with the support of ieTeam, through its ieStart area, specifically for the development of startups and open innovation. It is also supported by EIT Manufacturing, the largest manufacturing innovation community in Europe, which is part of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union. Besides, the initiative is also supported by the Basque Government through the "EIT Manufacturing Basque Hub" project (ELKARTEK kind 3, 2021).
Interested startups can apply using the application form available in this link . The registration period starts today, 10th February, and will last until the 24th of this month to 12:00 midday.
