Danobatgroup to participate in the Ada Byron 2021 awards in its commitment to further boost scientific vocations among women

• The group´s Director of Innovation, Nerea Aranguren, will speak at the awards presentation ceremony, which will be held online on 24 March

• The industrial group is one of the sponsors of the prize awarded by the University of Deusto, together with entities such as Microsoft and Emakunde, the Basque Women´s Institute

Danobatgroup will play a major role in the award-giving ceremony of the 8th Ada Byron Awards for Women in Technology 2021, given annually by the Engineering Faculty of the University of Deusto, in a bid to further the development of professional talent, women´s scientific and technological vocations and equal opportunities for men and women. The event is part of the Deusto Week of Engineering and Technology Forotech 2021.

The event, to be held virtually this year, will take place on Wednesday 24 March at 12:00 noon and will be attended by Nerea Aranguren, the industrial group´s Director of Innovation, who forms part of the jury for these awards as on previous occasions.

In addition to being part of the jury of the awards, Danobatgroup is sponsor of the event since the last edition along with entities such as Microsoft, the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and Emakunde, the Basque Institute for Women.

The event will also be attended by José María Guibert, rector of the University of Deusto; the director of the Ada Byron Award, Cristina Giménez Elorriaga; the director of Institutional Relations Microsoft Iberia, Montse Pardo and the dean of the Faculty of Engineering and president of the jury, Asier Perallos, among others.

Likewise, as part of the award-giving ceremony, the winner of the Ada Byron Award for Women in Technology 2020, Laura Lechuga, research professor at the CSIC in Barcelona, will give a talk entitled "What will diagnosis be like in the Postpandemic Era?", which will be presented by the coordinator of the award, Cristina Giménez Elorriaga.
